Non-inventory items: Businesses often procure materials other than manufacturing parts like office furniture, software, consultation, etc... These are items that need to be purchased but are not tracked in inventory and often do not show up on the general ledger.

As Required and Consumable Materials: On the mBOM, setting the quantity to 0 will allow techs to select an untracked or lot tracked inventory without having to select quantity, which is ideal for consumables where only the trace information is relevant. For as-requiredmaterials where you do not know the quantity in advance, techs can always install a higher quantity than the mBOM requirement.

Production
Scan to navigate to run: Scanning inventory is very useful for a physical queue-based system where you have an incoming rack that you can scan, quickly navigate to the operation, complete the operation, and move the part to the outgoing rack all powered by scanning!
Run Step Status Flow: Ever wonder what statuses you can change a run step too? Here you can see all of the different states and how to navigate between them.
Standard Step Initialization on Runs: Standard steps now initialize and take on the latest version of the step when the status moves to In Progress, Redline, Canceled, Failed or Completed.

Enhanced Issue Visibility on Parts and Runs: Instantly view both unresolved and resolved issues with their current statuses directly on Parts and Runs. This improvement allows for a comprehensive understanding of outstanding tasks and progress at a glance.
Effortless Navigation to Issues: Quickly access specific issues or the entire collection through the Issues Collection View. Simply use the convenient link in the header of the dropdown to navigate seamlessly between individual issues and the full list.
ION Actions Bug Fix: We have resolved an issue in the rules engine where rule titles were incorrectly swapped. With this fix, you can be confident that the rule displayed as blocking an action is accurate. This ensures you can take the appropriate actions to resolve the issue and that your technicians are informed with the correct information, reducing frustration on the shop floor.
In-line comments make it easier for stakeholders to access critical communications, viewing them directly alongside the approvals needed to resolve issues. The design ensures relevant context is maintained, with the newest activity always appearing at the bottom of the page.
Analytics
Impact analysis dashboard: Check out other new dashboard showing an impact analysis report for new part revisions released. Use this to understand all of the places previous revisions have been used across the factory.
Coming soon: significant improvements to our analytics environment. We're rolling out big changes by the end of September and will have the following new SLAs:

Autoplan
Firm plan items (Autoplan v2.11.0) - allows you to "firm" the item and leave comments/assignees if you are unable to create the purchase order/run yet. This is for situations such as waiting for a drawing to be released or finding the right supplier.
Serial numbers + names on plan inputs (Autoplan v2.12.0) - Provides more granularity on your milestones and introduces a new form of hard allocation for the scheduled part.
Automations
UPDATE: Auto-approve part-procedure Relationships: Full manual documentation here. With this update, part-procedure relationships in the procedure screen are now automatically set to APPROVED, and the optional/required field is filled in automatically. This automation can be configured to different procedure types (TEST, BUILD, INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE) and is particularly useful when the same individuals create and approve these relationships. The automation streamlines the process by eliminating four manual steps, ensuring the requirements for auto-generating inspection runs upon receipt are consistently applied when part-procedure relationships are established.
NEW! Auto-Update mBOM Revision on Part Revision: Full manual documentation here. Automatically update Autoplan Inputs and mBOMs to the latest part revisions, ensuring accuracy and consistency in your assemblies. Speed up the approval process by autoreleasing already released mBOMs, reducing manual effort. Existing workflows remain unaffected unless the feature is enabled, with no need for data migration. Ideal for high-volume products, this feature automates the mBOM update process, saving time and improving manufacturing reliability.
Remember, all of this is captured in our documentation here!
